Welcome to Elevare Counseling
Elevate Your Well-Being.
Compassionate counseling for teens, adults, and couples—in person and via telehealth.
Your Journey to Wellness Starts Here
At Elevare Counseling, I offer warm, professional mental health support grounded in collaboration, respect, and evidence-based care. Whether you're navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, or emotional overwhelm, counseling can help you gain clarity, develop resilience, and move forward with confidence. I work with individuals ages 14 and older, as well as couples, and I provide both in-person and telehealth services to support accessibility and flexibility.
About Me:
I’m Karin Jonas, LCPC, and owner of Elevare Counseling.
My background:
Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, I have a BA from Dartmouth College and an M.Ed in Counseling from Wichita State University. I spent several years in fundraising and event management before returning to school to become a clinical mental health counselor.
My practice:
I bring both compassion and personal insight to my work, grounded in a genuine desire to support others through life’s challenges. I collaborate with clients in a nonjudgmental, empathetic space where they can explore their thoughts, emotions, and patterns while building self-awareness and acceptance.
I believe each person has the capacity for growth and the ability to draw on their own strengths and resilience. My approach is strengths-based and focused on helping you develop tools, gain confidence, and move toward a more fulfilling, meaningful life.
About Elevare:
Elevare is a Latin verb meaning "to raise," "to lift up," or "to elevate"
Elevare Counseling is rooted in the belief that growth and healing are possible for everyone. My goal is to create a welcoming, non-judgmental space where you feel heard and supported. Together, we’ll explore your experiences, uncover strengths, and work toward meaningful and sustainable change.

What to expect:
I take a collaborative and personalized approach to counseling, with deep respect for your pace, preferences, and values. Together, we’ll combine practical tools with meaningful emotional insight, all within a warm and supportive environment, using evidence-based strategies tailored specifically to your needs.

Who I Work With:
I work with individuals ages 14 and older who are navigating challenges such as anxiety, stress, depression, and low mood, as well as life transitions, self-esteem and identity concerns, grief and loss, relationship stress, and school or work-related difficulties. I also support couples who are looking to improve communication, work through conflict, rebuild connection and trust, navigate periods of change or crisis, and strengthen their overall partnership.

My Approach
My approach blends evidence-based modalities with a person-centered foundation. Depending on your goals, I may integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Structural Family Systems, and Gottman Method strategies. I especially enjoy helping couples navigate conflict, rebuild communication, and strengthen connection and understanding, and I am a Gottman Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work leader. Sessions are guided by empathy, respect, and curiosity—not judgment.
